John B. Crisci

Enabling the UN to assist more than 100 million people with food and non-food items.

John B. Crisci recently served as the acting director of a UN humanitarian agency’s Supply Chain Division, keeping operations running smoothly in the face of the multiple global challenges posed by COVID-19, thereby enabling the UN to assist more than a 100 million people with food. He also ensured that the division used its global supply chain infrastructure, expertise, and experience to support the humanitarian community’s efforts to deal with the pandemic.

John was instrumental in making sure all divisions worked closely together to assist close to a 100 million people, often in the most challenging emergency situations possible—conflict, natural disaster, climate change, economic collapse, or a combination of these. He has also served as deputy director of emergency response and director of the budget division. He has served in several field positions around the world, including the Sudan, the Republic of the Congo, and Sierra Leone, where he served as emergency coordinator for the Ebola outbreak in 2014.

John has over twenty-seven years of experience in general management, business development, and risk management. This is his first work of fiction.
